IO SONO SALVO

Publisher Erickson Live

Millennia later, tired of solitude, Fate chooses to tell the mythological stories of which he himself was the creator. In antiquity, Fate was considered a powerful force to which all deities had to submit, even Zeus himself.

The text is intended to be the first in a cycle of tales dedicated to the four elements: fire, water, earth and air. The element at the centre of the two myths narrated in this first volume is fire: Prometheus gives fire to men, while Phaeton obtains permission to drive the chariot carrying the burning disc of the sun. How will their daring exploits come to an end?

The book, which is aimed at secondary school boys and girls, also contains a thorough set of exercises and insights.

A cantar d'amore is a project conceived by four friends at the bar, to quote Gino Paoli. Germano Orrù, Emanuele Ciglia, Dario Cosseddu and Vincenzo Soddu have thrown down a gauntlet to themselves and to anyone who wanted to try their hand at the most obvious and difficult theme together: love, or rather loving. A bet based on the ability to sublimate a topic often relegated to the titles of a Sanremo song or between the lines of a sloppy online message.

14 stories and as many poems emerged, linked together to express all the nuances of this feeling as eternal as the world. Thus we have love for the world that surrounds us every day, love for ourselves, belated love for an abandoned daughter, love for a frail figure from the past, love for life, love for one's animal, the love for a father or mother who is now irremediably old, the love impossible to express, the love for one's work, one's mission.

The poems, alternating with the stories, give life to images carved into the words, building an even stronger voice, never banal, made of roughness, beauty, melancholy, myths, toil, ardor, physicality.

Stories and words that will help us all to get closer to the well of our soul and drink from the source of emotion.

The famous legend of the kidnapping of the beautiful Persephone by the infernal god Hades lives again in a novel of classical inspiration, but with a much more brilliant and contemporary taste, with a shrewd and pleasantly playful twist.

From the ancestral eras of Arcadia, the gods, monsters, fantastic creatures and warriors of ancient myths re-emerge. This is not, however, the usual story: page after page, we enter into the dark machination hatched by Hera, the powerful and spoiled queen of Olympus, against Demeter, the glorious goddess of harvests. It is a very, very human jealousy that unleashes the plan of Zeus's wife: thanks to a love spell, Demeter's daughter will have to be the bride of the dark god of the underworld, and relegated there forever, and the unfortunate mother will be left with nothing but a desperate, eternal wandering throughout the earth. But in a universe full of wonders, surprises certainly cannot be missing. And then among strange prodigious beings, valiant and vain heroes, dizzying flights on golden chariots, and divinities of all kinds, fascinating, misanthropic, poetic, dazed, an incredible adventure unfolds, in which the epic tones are diluted in a story funny and passionate, which gives us an original look at classical narrative.
